Founded in 2000 by Rev. Dr Abhraham and his wife Mrs.Amini Abhraham , Ebenezer mission charitable trust (EMCT) is dedicated for social activities with the belief "All children can learn , if we can learn how to teach them" Since past many years they are imparting their selfless service.
Rev.Jacob Daniel , Executive director of EMCT and Ebenezer Child care center (ECCC) , keeping founders dream and passion alive , currently , heads this project with passion and zeal to enable these kids. He shares his vision and thoughts with ThinkBangalore team as below -

If the word orphanage makes you think of some grim loveless institution , you should plan a visit to the ECCC. Here you will find more than 30 children living in hostel with boys and girls separately above nursery age. Our orphanage is full of fun and laughter. As we have learned , family doesn't always mean where you were born, Its who loves you and love is something there is plenty of at the ECCC.
Most of our children are true orphans and semi orphans means single parent - but all come from different states and destitute conditions , often leaving hunger or extreme poverty join our safe and welcoming home. We are not in business breaking up families , but when a child is unwanted or in danger , we are happy to open our arms. Every child regardless of their race , creed or ability to pay has right to education and deserves hope for a good future.
Ebenezer child care center needs partners who can extend their love and support challenges with funds to manage the children project making a difference in the lives of these kids , instilling a feel of Hope and Belonging.
Donors willing to donate for this noble purpose may donate to their mission . All donations are eligible for deduction under section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961 . Donors may also visit the center , interact with children and make contributions in any other forms.
