Procedure to apply for Income certificate in Bengaluru

An income certificate is a document that confirms your annual income and sources of income. It is used as a legal proof for availing various subsidies and schemes from the government. It is also required for various educational purposes such as admission, scholarships, fee reimbursement etc.

If you are a resident of Bengaluru and need an income certificate, here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Go to the online portal of Nadakacheri AJRKP or Seva Sindhu and register by creating an account with a unique username and password secured with your mobile number.
  2. Login to your account and look for ‘Apply for income certificate’ or such similar terms and select the language in which you want the certificate to be issued.
  3. Fill the online application form with your personal details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, residence address, total income of the family, sources of income, earning members of the family and reason for applying for income certificate.
Procedure to apply for Income certificate in Bengaluru

 
  1. Upload the prescribed documents such as proof of income (salary slip or bank statement if you are a private employee or Form 16 of ITR if you are a government employee), ID proof (Aadhar card, voter id card or driving license), address proof (bank passbook, ration card or passport), age proof (birth certificate or school leaving certificate), caste certificate if you belong to the minority community and passport size photos.
  2. Pay the application fee of Rs.15 through online mode and save the acknowledgement slip that will appear on the screen. You will also receive an SMS with the acknowledgement number that can be used to track your application status.
  3. Track your application status by logging in to your account and selecting ‘Get Status’ tab. You can also visit the District Magistrate office, District Collector Office or Revenue Department Office of your jurisdiction and enquire about your application status.
  4. Collect your income certificate from the concerned office after it is issued. The time taken to get the certificate may vary depending on the verification process and workload of the officials
