ವಸುುದೇವಸುತಂ ದೇವಂ ಕಂಸಚಾಣೂರಮರ್ದನಂ ।
ದೇವಕೀ ಪರಮಾನಂದಂ ಕೃಷ್ಣಂ ವಂದೇ ಜಗದ್ಗುರುಂ ॥

vasudeva-sutam devam kamsa-chāṇūra-mardanam ।
devakī-paramānandam kṛṣṇam vande jagad-gurum ॥

 

Meaning

• ವಸುುದೇವಸುತಂ ದೇವಂ (vasudeva-sutam devam): The divine son of Vasudeva.

• ಕಂಸಚಾಣೂರಮರ್ದನಂ (kamsa-chāṇūra-mardanam): The destroyer of the tyrants Kamsa and Chanura.

• ದೇವಕೀ ಪರಮಾನಂದಂ (devakī-paramānandam): The supreme joy of mother Devaki.

• ಕೃಷ್ಣಂ ವಂದೇ ಜಗದ್ಗುರುಂ (kṛṣṇam vande jagad-gurum): I bow down to Krishna, the eternal teacher of the universe.
