Moral story of the day

The Ant and the Grasshopper

Once upon a time, in a lush green meadow, lived a hardworking ant and a carefree grasshopper.

The ant spent his days tirelessly collecting food and storing it away for the winter. He knew that when the cold season arrived, he would have enough to eat to survive.

The grasshopper, on the other hand, preferred to spend his days singing, dancing, and enjoying the sunshine. He laughed at the ant's prudence, claiming that there was plenty of time to worry about winter later.

As summer turned into autumn, the ant continued to gather supplies while the grasshopper played on. When the first frost hit, the grasshopper found himself shivering and starving. He approached the ant, begging for help.

However, the ant refused. "You had all summer to prepare," he said. "Now, you must face the consequences of your laziness."

And so, the grasshopper learned the hard way that it is important to plan for the future and to work hard when times are good. Laziness and procrastination can lead to dire consequences.
