Few Highlights of this temple

  • Believed to be at-least more than 100 years old
  • Hanuman Idol - of about 4 to 5 feet - sculpted at Saligrama
  • Special Ratha yatra & functions conducted during Navarathri , Hanuman Jayanathi
  • The unique specialty here , Hanuman Idol sheds tears during Hanuman Jayanthi which is considered as a strange phenomenon . The exact time when this happens is not known.

We recommend you park your 4 wheelers on the main roads sides to avoid traffic jams here.

Temple has a typical dravidian style of entrance Gopuram , on entering which on the left we find the Hanuman temple , just opposite to it is Sri Rama , Sita , Laxmana , Shiva (Basaweshwara) idols.  Special poojas are conducted here and temple management may be contact for further details. Maintained by the government , free lunch is organised everyday between 12 PM to 2 PM as prasadam.
