Jackfruit seeds Paddu South Indian recipe

In this food recipe article , lets learn how to make tasty Paddu using jack food seeds using Jack fruit seeds which have good amount of proteins providing good strength to body. Paddus can be prepared as a breakfast item or as a snacks for the evening.

Ingredients

  1. Jack fruit seeds -10
  2. Dosa Rice - 1 cup
  3. Moong dal - 1 cup
  4. Avalakki - 1/4 cup
  5. Methi seeds - 1 spoon
  6. Salt - for taste as suitable
  7. Cooking oil - 4 spoons
  8. Onion , Carrot  - 1 each
  9. Jeera - 1 spoon
  10. Coriander , Curry leaves - as needed
  11. Green chilly - 2
  12. Ginger grate - 1 spoon

Preparation Procedure

  • Smash jack fruit seeds and peel off the outer skin
  • Soak rice , moong dal  , avalakki , methi for about 5 hours. Later grind this mixture to form a batter.
  • Grind well jackfruit seeds , salt , ginger , green chilli and add to the batter mixture . Keep it closed for 30 minutes
  • Add chopped coriander , curry leaves , grate carrot , chopped onion, Jeera to the mixture and stir well to make a batter
  • Prepare paddu tava . On the tava put some cooking oil and allow it to heat
  • Once heated using a cooking spoon , fill the tava holders with batter and cook it for few minutes rolling on both sides using a spoon 
  • Once sufficiently cooked , serve hot paddu with chutney
