Animal is a action drama film directed and edited by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Pranay Reddy Vanga and Saurabh Gupta. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles. The film was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Pranay Reddy Vanga under T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios.
The film revolves around Ranvijay “Vijay” Singh (Ranbir Kapoor), the son of Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), a Delhi-based business magnate who heads the generational steel company “Swastik Steels corp.” His family includes Balbir, his mother, grandfather Rajdheer (Prem Chopra) and sisters Reet (Saloni Batra) and Roop (Saurabh Sachdeva). Vijay has adored Balbir since childhood, but Balbir neglects him and behaves harshly due to his busy schedule. When Vijay brings an AK-47 to school and hurts a group of boys who bullied Reet, Balbir sends him away to a boarding school in United States.
Years later, Vijay returns to Delhi after completing his education and attends the engagement of former classmate Geetanjali “Geeta” Iyengar (Rashmika Mandanna), whom he has always loved. He convinces her to break her engagement and choose him. During Balbir’s 60th birthday, Vijay fights with Reet’s husband Varun (Suresh Oberoi) and is kicked out of the house.
While leaving, he is surprised to see Geeta who has broken her engagement with Varun and wants to be with him. They both get married in a private ceremony and shift to US. Eight years later, Balbir is attacked by unknown assailants but survives. Vijay returns with Geeta and their kids to be with his family and starts a war with people who tried to assassinate Balbir.
In the war he returns from death bed but as the story unfolds further he finds that Abrar Haque (Bobby Deol), an estranged family member is the mastermind behind everything.
Animal is a gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat with its fast-paced plot twists and turns. The film explores themes such as love, loyalty, revenge, betrayal, family bonds and forgiveness. The film also showcases some stunning action sequences that are well-choreographed and executed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga himself.
