Vritta Kannada movie review , songs , trailer

Directed by Likith Kumar, Vritta is a  mystery thriller that takes viewers on a haunting journey through emotional isolation, fractured relationships, and the psychological toll of ambition. With its title meaning “circle,” the film metaphorically traps its protagonist—and the audience—in a loop of dread, introspection, and survival. The story follows Siddharth (Maahir Mohiuddin), a financially broken and emotionally fragile man who embarks on a tense forest drive to Pushpagiri in search of a ₹30 lakh loan. What begins as a desperate errand quickly spirals into a psychological descent. Haunted by anonymous calls, memories of a failed relationship with Priya (Harini Sundararajan), and a strained bond with his parents (Shashikala & Srinivas Prabhu), Siddharth finds himself confronting his past, his choices, and his own unraveling mind. The forested path becomes a metaphor for his internal chaos, and the film’s nonlinear narrative—filled with silences, flashbacks, and cryptic dialogues—mirrors the emotional disorientation of its protagonist.

Cast includes Maahir Mohiuddin,Harini Sundararajan,Chaithra Achar,Master Anuraag,Shashikala & Srinivas Prabhu . Likith Kumar crafts a minimalist yet emotionally dense thriller. The screenplay, cowritten with Yogesh Gowda and Raghu Niduvalli, avoids exposition and instead leans into fragmented storytelling. The film’s strength lies in its atmosphere—a slowburn tension that builds through silence, shadow, and suggestion. The pacing is deliberate, with the first half setting up mystery and the second half diving into introspection. Music directors Antony MG & Hari Krishanth have provided apt music with haunting melody. Gowtham Krishna captures the eerie beauty of ghat roads and forested silence. Suresh Arumugam maintains a rhythm that mirrors the protagonist’s psychological spiral

Movie shows that ambition without connection is a hollow pursuit, Siddharth’s downfall stems from chasing success at the cost of relationships. Mental health matters, The film subtly explores trauma, anxiety, and emotional repression. Silence can be louder than words, The absence of dialogue often conveys more than speech. Everyone carries unseen burdens, Even minor characters reflect fragments of Siddharth’s fractured psyche. Closure isn’t always possible, The film doesn’t offer neat resolutions, reminding us that healing is often nonlinear.
