Arasayyana Prema Prasanga is a charming rural comedy drama that blends humor, emotional depth, and social commentary through the story of a hearing impaired priest’s quest for love. Directed by JVR Deepu, it’s a feel good entertainer with heart and authenticity.  The film follows   Arasayya   (Mahantesh Hiremath), a humble, hearing impaired priest and ritual musician from a village in Hassan. Despite his disability and illiteracy, Arasayya dreams of finding a life partner. An astrologer’s prediction convinces him that   Kumari   (Rashmitha R), a newly appointed post office employee, is destined to be his wife. What unfolds is a series of hilarious misunderstandings, awkward romantic gestures, and heartfelt moments as Arasayya tries to win Kumari’s affection. His family, including a grandmother who clings to an old radio and memories of her late husband, adds warmth and nostalgia to the narrative. A marriage broker’s small lie spirals into a web of half truths, complicating Arasayya’s journey. The film gently explores themes of companionship, belonging, and the emotional resilience of rural life.

Mahantesh Hiremath delivers a standout performance, portraying Arasayya with vulnerability and charm. Rashmitha R’s Kumari is a refreshing presence, offering quiet strength and emotional clarity. JVR Deepu’s direction is sensitive and humorous, capturing the pulse of small town life with authenticity. The screenplay balances comedy and emotion. The use of symbolic elements like the radio and Arasayya’s sketches adds poetic depth, though some threads (like his artistic side) remain underexplored. The pacing is gentle, allowing emotional beats to land naturally. Music by Pradeep and Praveen  are Folk inspired and emotionally resonant.

Movie shows that Love is not about perfection—it’s about acceptance. Disability doesn’t define worth it reveals strength . Small lies can spiral—but truth brings healing. Companionship is a human need, not a luxury . Tradition and memory shape emotional landscapes.
