Teertharoopa Tandeyavarige , directed by Ramenahalli Jagannatha, is a heartfelt Kannada drama that explores the bond between parents and children while critiquing irresponsible media practices. It’s a film that blends family emotion with social commentary, making it both intimate and thoughtprovoking.  The story follows Pruthvi (Nihar Mukesh), a popular travel vlogger living with his mother Janaki (Sithara) in the scenic town of Mudigere. Pruthvi’s life takes a turn when he begins searching for his estranged father, a quest that forces him to confront buried truths and unresolved emotions.  The narrative juxtaposes Pruthvi’s personal journey with a broader theme: how sensationalist journalism can devastate ordinary lives. By weaving together family bonds, identity, and media ethics, Jagannatha crafts a story that is both personal and universal.  

Nihar Mukesh as Pruthvi delivers a sincere performance, capturing the vulnerability of a son torn between love and longing.  Sithara as Janaki is the emotional anchor, portraying the resilience of a single mother with quiet dignity.  Rachana Inder adds charm and warmth in her supporting role.  Ravindra Vijay and Ajit Hande enrich the ensemble, representing societal forces that shape Pruthvi’s journey. Jagannatha, known for Hondisi Bareyiri, returns with his trademark intellectual storytelling. His direction emphasizes emotional realism, ensuring audiences connect deeply with the characters. The screenplay, however, has drawn mixed reviews. While the themes are powerful, critics note that weak writing and uneven pacing dilute the impact. The film shines in its emotional moments but occasionally falters in narrative flow.  

Music complements the film’s emotional tone, with soulful tracks underscoring Pruthvi’s journey.  Cinematography captures the lush landscapes of Mudigere, contrasting natural beauty with the turbulence of human relationships.  Visual storytelling is particularly effective in scenes where Pruthvi confronts his father’s absence, blending realism with symbolism.  

Movie shows that family bonds are irreplaceable, The film highlights the enduring strength of parental love.  Media responsibility matters, Irresponsible reporting can destroy lives, urging viewers to demand ethical journalism.  Selfdiscovery is painful but necessary, Pruthvi’s journey shows that confronting truth is essential for growth. Resilience of mothers, Janaki’s character is a reminder of the sacrifices and strength of single parents.
