Dry skin home remedy ManeMaddhu

Well , dry skin is common during winter. Proper care should be taken before it gets severe and causes uncomfortable. In this post we bring out few tips which can be tried at home and keep dry skin at bay. 

Home remedy

  • Add 5 drops of lavender oil or oat extract to bath water. After the bath , apply Aloe Vera  cream
  • Mix an egg yolk and with a few drops of lime and olive oil. Spread on the face and leave it till the skin feels dry and then wash it off with water
  • Apply a pulp of fresh cherries to the face at night, before going to bed. Leave it for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. This will give you a beautiful complexion and also you will find relief from dry skin.
  • Add 1 drop of tea tree oil to your favorite day or night cream to help moisturize and smooth skin, Tea tree oil has been known to penetrate into skin's cellular level.
  • Apply Aloe Vera gel topically on affected areas . Aloe Vera is soothing, healing and moisturizing

  • Consume plenty of yellow and orange vegetables such as carrots,cantaloupes,apricots
  • Drink plenty of water everyday to keep the skin well hydrated
  • Stay out of overheated rooms, avoid sudden changes in temperature, protect yourself from wind and sun.
  • Avoid strong soaps which take off oil from skin, leaving skin dry, choose mild soaps
  • Do not smoke
  • Do not have soft drinks or eat sugar, chocolate,potato chips or other junk foods.
